Epiphany at the Hampton Court Flower Show
In July 2013 and also in 2014 Epiphany were invited to play Sound Portraits for visitors to the Royal Horticultural Society Flower Show in Hampton Court. In 2013 we played in an open area within a large marquee at the invitation of the noise reduction company ‘Quiet Mark’, then in 2014 we played in an amazing £300,000 treehouse provided by John Lewis and Quiet Mark. On both occasions we played on ‘Silent’ electric instruments which were broadcast wirelessly onto headphones for visitors to listen to us. We performed for well over 100 people at each show, including for TV presenters Gloria Hunniford and John Craven, as well as being featured on a documentary by BBC Arabic Service broadcast to millions in the Middle East.
